Personality: To put it plainly, Andrew is a lazy horse. You have to work to get him to run, though there are occasions when he decides that he wants to. His favorite thing is to either sleep in his pasture all day, or eat to his heart's content out in the pasture. Rarely, can his other pasturemates egg him into racing with them. He has a fear of both Ransom's goat and Whisper's miniature horse companion, who has taking a shining to Andrew. Maybe at some point, he'll get over it. But for now, he runs whenever he sees either of them. He hates baths. He's fine with the farrier and the vet, but when it's time for him to get a bath, that's when he turns into an unholy terror. He won't enter the bath stall and will try to squish you against the side. Generally you end up more soaked than him.
On the track, he likes to hang at the back of the pack, true to his lazy nature. But when he decides to get going, that's when he shows that he can be fast, running as fast as he can to the head of the pack. Until then, he'll just lazily plod along, content with hanging in the back for a while. Until he chooses to, no amount of prodding or urging from his rider will get him to go faster. When he decides to get going, he's not afraid to dart between spaces where a normal horse might not. Whether that's a good or bad thing remains to be seen.
